The Workbench

   Workbench got rewritten for OS 3.5. The workbench.library API has
been extended with several new vectors to provide greater interaction
with Workbench-aware applications. There are now official (and clean)
ways for third party Workbench enhancers to gather information on the
current Workbench status, start programs in "Workench mode" and even
control some aspects of the Workbench user interface from other
applications.

   Of course the Workbench supports the new color mapped icons and other
features provided by the new icon.library. Icon Library.
